Chairperson’s Message
Dear Friends,
The year 2010 continues to show economic recovery led by Asia. Having tackled the immediate fires the business and social organizations are focusing attention on the major issues that are confronting the world in terms of degradation of environment, excessive consumption and ageing population.
It is expected of the professionals in the field of quality management to contribute in building people capabilities to preserve the environment and conserve scarce resources while feeding the growing population. At the same time hunger and disease continue to stalk various regions of Asia particularly South Asia. Need for application of quality management principles, concepts and techniques in the field of education, healthcare, agriculture and social sectors is quite evident. How can members of ANQ contribute in developing people capabilities for application in these sectors?
In true spirit of ANQ Way can we cooperate and collaborate to alleviate poverty, hunger and disease from Asia?
Suggestions and ideas from members are sought and would be welcome.
