Qi Weiming
Chair for 2011-2012
Asian Network for Quality
Place: Beijing, China
Date: 23 Dec 2011 |
Dear ANQ Friends,
Taking this special opportunity, I offer my heartiest greetings on the Christmas and
New Year and pray that 2012 will be a most productive year for all of us.
I’m always grateful to those individuals and organizations who have extended their
support and contribution since ANQ’s foundation in 2002. We’re coming from diverse
backgrounds and uniting under ANQ for a common quality cause. It’s great to see that
after nine years’ development ANQ has grown to a big family with 17 member
organizations, 2 affiliated organizations and 1 partner organization. It’s achieved
through the relevance of our mission and the efforts of our membership.
In 2011, ANQ officially took over the coordination committee of World Alliance for
Quality for the term of 2011-2014 and successfully held the 9th ANQ congress in Ho
Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
To reach the next step of development, we are setting forth toward 2012 ANQ
Congress Hong Kong. Our goal is to promote academic research in quality, enhance
communication between quality practitioners and experts from different
countries/regions, expand ANQ’s influence and strengthen Asia’s saying in the world.
Our success in the past was achieved through our passion, and cannot be separated
from the efforts of ANQ secretariat, each program committee and board members.
Our success in the future depends on the same. As the ANQ Chair, I look forward to
our solidarity and collaboration over the coming year and encourage you to take
advantage of the myriad opportunities afforded by ANQ to promote local quality
work.
I wish you a happy, healthy and sweet new year!
